Americn Bio-Waste Solutions operates from a 12,000sqft warehouse on 2 1/2 acres of commercial property owned and operated by the parent company Ben-Jax, Inc., a locally owned corporation in good standing in Florida since 1979.

The success of Ben-Jax was built in the food industry on the belief that solid and consistant customer service would build a strong customer base to build the company on.

It was determined this same idea could be applied in the medical waste industry.  A few big companies dominated the markets with exorbitant pricing, iron clad contracts for long terms and service conditions that were often dictated to the customer. 

ABS believes that long term business relationships can be built with good sense, good communication and good service.  We will  build our business one customer at a time by proving ourselves every day.

Q: Is medical waste complicated?

A: We are both regulated by the health dept.  If we both meet our requirements then the transfer of medical waste, with the proper procedures and controls can be a simple and easy process

Q: How are schedules determined?

A: The DOH requires that every box is checked and or removed every 30 days.  To ensure complinace ABS schedules every customer at a minimum 28 day rotating schedule.  Larger customers or high volume customers receive more frequent service schedules based on individual needs.

Q: How can American Bio-Waste Solutions pick up our medical waste?

A: ABS is licensed and permitted                (DOH#7608) through the State of Florida Dept. of Health.  ABS records and facility are inspected annually to ensure full regulatory compliance.

Q: Who controls medical waste in Florida?

A: In Florida, bio-hazard/medical waste is overseen jointly by the Dept. of Health and the Dept. of Environmental Protection.
